On Thursday, Oct. 15, New Britain Police arrested Travon Shirley, 25, of Church St., on the charges of:
- Interfering with an officer/resisting
- Interfegins with a search
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Possession of controlled substance at or greater than half an ounce of cannabis
- Possesion with intent to sell/dispense narcotic
- Operation of a drug factory
- Use of drug paraphernalia
- Carrying a pistol with a permit
- And Illegal possession of large magazine obtained before April 5, 2013, police said.
Shirley was held on a $350,000 bond and has been released from custody, according to Connecticut court records. Shirley is due back in court on Friday, Oct. 30. He has not entered a plea at this time. If found guilty on the drug factory charge, Shirley faces up to 30 years in prison.
Shirley is also facing charges related to a separate arrest in December of 2019. In that case, Shirley has pled not guilty to charges of drug possession and driving under the influence, according to court records.
